Themed and Specialist Projects

I have worked for a variety of theming contractors which specialized in the design, manufacturing and installation of themed elements for a wide variety of industries including hospitality, governmental and commercial establishments worldwide. As production and project manager I was responsible for managing a team of 60 staff from a variety of disciplines, including scenic artists, carvers, carpenters, laminators, interior designers and labourers. Responsibilities included:

• Management of multiple projects of varying scope and discipline, pre and post contract involvement including production management, art direction and installation of site elements

• Directed post contract on-site maintenance and DLP works ensuring timely completion and close out.
• Client coordination and design review, design change management and integrated product design development.
• Budget management and cost control across multiple projects.
• Implemented operational procedures which dramatically improved efficiency of workshop production lines.
• Quality management and scope validation of in-house and outsourced manufactured and installed elements.
• Client relationship management and business development by building lasting affiliations.
• Leadership and team resource management including dispute resolution and cross cultural harmonization.

Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai;

The Falcon Museum at Nad Al Sheba, Dubai;

The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization;

The Ski Dubai at Mall of the Emirates.
